Report Writing and Presentation Skills

Communicating information is of utmost importance in the communication process, whether it is in the written form, through reports or the oral method, through presentations.

Report writing is an essential skill for almost everyone. A report aims to inform, as clearly and succinctly as possible. It should be easy to read, and professional in its presentation.

Learning to present the information you have is also an essential skill for everyone to acquire. Communicating your thoughts and ideas effectively is of utmost importance.

This course aims to provide participants with the necessary skills in writing a report and presenting the information they have.

By the end of the course, participants will have learned to:
  • write reports effectively;
  • develop confidence in articulating and sharing their ideas about their work and their research; and
  • deliver an effective presentation.
Mini-lectures, dyad/group discussions, sharing of ideas, games, role-plays, and exercises are the training methods in this course. Interactive and participatory methods will be used to teach the course. The course will culminate with an oral presentation from each of the participants.
