SCHOLARS' PROGRAM

Scholarships enable qualified scientists from the National Agricultural Research and Extension System to pursue MS and PhD degrees, as well as fellowships to update their technical knowledge and skills. Individuals who are given scholarships at IRRI Training work with IRRI scientists on a research project of mutual interest to IRRI and their institute.

DEGREE/POST DEGREE (MS/PhD) TRAINING
NARS scientists are provided opportunities for professional advancement through MS/PhD scholarship programs. Degree studies are pursued at universities with which IRRI has formal collaborative agreements. The candidates complete coursework at any IRRI-affiliated university and conduct thesis research under the guidance and supervision of an experienced IRRI scientist. IRRI administers three types of scholar program, namely: IRRI Research Scholars, Affiliate Research Scholars and Interns.

IRRI also collaborates with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for some scholarships. If you are interested to avail of this scholarship, please check this out.
