Marie has been with IRRI Training Center in 1990 and since then engaged in the graphic design and training activities. As a senior graphics artist at IRRI Training Center, Marie has mastered a wide array of courseware production technologies: publication design, photography, video shooting and editing, computer graphics production, audio recording, web publication design, and online materials preparation.

She coordinates courses on video production and courses with development of training materials component. Marie plans, manages, and implements the video production course and other course on the development of training materials. She facilitates on-the job training of scientists from national systems who wants to learn the video production process and the development training materials.

She has attended several trainings and workshops related to her job both in the Philippines and abroad. One of these is designing and developing courseware materials for on-line use at the Center for Distance Learning, Simon Fraser University, Canada in 1998 and 2001.

She earned her Fine Arts degree in 1981 at the University of Sto. Tomas, Philippines and had earned some professional units in Education.
