Administration and secretarial services; coordination and
clerical assistance…
As a Division Secretary, Lanie ensures timely and efficient flow
of communication and information among the units at IRRI Training
Center and other offices in the Institute. She has been with IRRI
since 1992, first as Statistical Clerk providing services in encoding,
analysis, and preparation of statistical report on salary administration,
job evaluation, and performance appraisal report.
In 1994, she became Office Assistant at the Human Resources Department
(HRD). She assisted and supported the unit in preparing and implementing
training programs as well as in preparing award letters for nationally
recruited staff sent abroad. She was in-charge of the accommodation
and placement of on-the-job trainees, documentation, and filing
of records. She then became HRD Assistant and provided general administrative
and clerical assistance in support of the HRD-Employee Services
Section on benefits administration, job evaluation, and performance
management system, administrative cases, employee relations, and
awards program.
She studied Computer Technology and earned units in Computer Science
and is well adept in MSWord, Excel, Powerpoint, and Foxbase.
