The International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) is an educational and research institute dedicated to creating a better world for rice farmers and consumers through scientific discovery of superior rice farming technologies.

IRRI's founding members realized that research without education and training would have little or no impact. This guiding principle has continued to drive IRRI's training vision: enhancing sustainable NARES research and delivery capacity through interactive dynamic learning.
